Financial statement translation

When is it used in Croatia?

Foreign financial statements may be translated for business checks, financing, tenders or submission to Croatian institutions and partners. The translation must cover every section the recipient requires.

When is it used abroad?

Croatian companies need translations for foreign owners, investors, banks and business partners. Consistent accounting terminology and a clearly identified reporting year are particularly important.

When might you need this document translated?

  • An application for financing from an overseas bank.
  • Company due diligence before an investment.
  • Evidence of financial standing in a tender.
  • Reporting to a foreign owner or parent company.

When do you need a certified translation?

A specialist translation is often sufficient for internal business use. A court interpreter certifies it when required by a bank, authority or procedure. A certified translation is not an audit or confirmation that the financial data is correct.

What should you send us?

Send the statements with notes, the relevant auditor’s opinion and tables in their original format where available. Specify the currency and preferred terminology.
