School certificate translation for official use
A school certificate confirms completion of a school year or education programme, or a school qualification awarded. It may contain subjects, grades, results and school details. Final and annual certificates may be requested together.
When is it used in Croatia?
Foreign school certificates may be translated for further education, enrolment, employment or a procedure concerning a foreign education qualification in Croatia. The institution’s instructions determine which years and supporting records are needed.
When is it used abroad?
Croatian certificates may be translated for a school, university, employer or another competent body abroad. It is often important to provide the complete requested sequence of records, rather than only the latest certificate.
When might you need this document translated?
- Enrolling a child in school after moving abroad.
- An application to an overseas higher education institution.
- Evidence of completed secondary education for an employer.
- Documents in a school education recognition procedure.
When do you need a certified translation?
A court interpreter certifies the translation when the institution requires it. Grades and qualification names are reproduced faithfully; translation does not independently convert grades into another country’s system or determine recognition of education.
What should you send us?
Attach every required certificate, reverse side, seal and any explanation of the grading system. Identify the institution receiving the records.
